We all have tough days when we’re losing weight, the days where you’re close to breaking point and that naughty treat seems more tempting than ever. So here is ‘The Treat Box’, a fab motivational tool that can distract, cheer you up and keep you on track!

Step 1

Find a box, you may already have a cute gift box or bag lying around, if not you could create your own nice box from a shoe-box and some nice wrapping paper, or craftily re-purposing any kind of parcel packaging, have fun decorating it and making it special and personal just for you!

Step 2

Fill this box with things that will lift your spirits, keep you busy and make you forget you ever considered having a little cheat.

Box content ideas: funny/favourite film, colouring book and pens, magazine, nail polish and file for a mini-mani, a face mask, a bath bomb or bubble bath, new book, some fancy herbal tea bags or flavoured coffees, travel games or puzzles, a gift card for some retail therapy (who doesn’t love a little shopping spree?).

Step 3

On the inside lid stick a before picture, a motivational quote, a photo of what inspired you to start. Maybe your motivational photo will be a pic of a bikini you want to buy for an upcoming holiday, a snap of you in your pre-baby jeans, an item of clothing you’ve always wanted to wear, your children. Maybe it’s an event that’s made you start like your wedding, a charity race, school reunion, fitting on a theme park ride, a comfortable flight without an extender belt, find a picture that represents your end goal and stick it in!

Opening your box will remind you of why you are on this journey as well as providing you a little treat to keep you going.

Step 4

Next time you feel like you might give into temptation you’ll have this wonderful treat box full of motivation and goodies to inspire you and brighten your day.
