Welcome Aboard – Top Tips for Newbies. Just started Cambridge Weight Plan? If you're a newbie check out these top survival tips and advice from our amazing community. Shake it Up by Cambridge Weight PlanHi there, congratulations on taking the first step towards the new you! We’re sure you already know that your Cambridge Weight Plan Consultant is there to guide you through this every step of the way, but we thought you’d like to hear from some other slimmers who were once where you are today.

We asked our fabulous #CWPfamily across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram what advice they would give to a brand new slimmer. We’ve compiled some of our favourite tips especially for you to help you in your early days…

Water

Water will be your best friend on Plan! Drink when you feel hungry.”

“I use my CWP app to remind me to drink plenty.”

“Carry a water bottle with you at all times so you know how much you’ve had.”

“Try all the water flavouring products to keep it interesting.”

Read our Benefits of Drinking Water post for more tips!

Focus

“Go to bed early in your first week, it helps. We’ve all been there and we got through it, so can you!”

“The first week it the hardest. Face it, embrace it and then enjoy it!”

“Be sure to focus on the end goal weight. You will do it on this plan.”

Take each day as it comes and each pound as it falls. Write down the reason why you want to lose weight onto a little card before you start, keep it with you at all times. You can look at it every time you’re feeling a little demotivated and remind yourself why you’re doing this! Dream, believe, achieve.

The Plan

“Don’t mess with the magic and you’ll soon see results.”

“Trust the Plan! Stick to it 100%. See the results and don’t forget to smile”

Just stick to the Plan. If you give it time and persistence, it’ll be the best thing you’ve ever done. Remember it gets easier! After day three the Plan does all the hard work for you!”

“It’s all worth it! Stick to Plan, don’t have days off and don’t overthink it just get on with it!”

“If you stick to it you will not be hungry, you will feel full of energy and you will look amazing.”

“Talk to your Consultant if you’re having a rough day – they are with you all the way.”

Motivation

We have our ‘before’ photos around the house to remind us of where we’ve come from and that we don’t want to go back. It’s a good deterrent.”

“Take a before photo, don’t compare your journey with others, and make the most of the support here from the #CWPfamily community on Instagram.”

“Take before photos and photos at every stone lost. Treat yourself to a goal outfit to spur you on.”

“If you’re not very good at taking compliments – start getting used to it!”

“Stay focussed on your dream and remember why you started.”

We hope these tips help you out as you start on your weight-loss journey. If you’re ready to start and haven’t found a Consultant yet search for one now and for more information our ‘how Cambridge Weight Plan works‘ page gives a great overview.

Hi Sarah, there are no official CWP Facebook Forums ran by us, however there are lots of support groups ran by other slimmers and Consultants out there. Instagram is a fab motivational tool however, the #CWPfamily community on there is super supportive and it’s great to share visuals of your journey to keep you on track 🙂 here’s our Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/cambridgeweightplan/

Hey Kirsty! If you’re on Step 2 it’s three CWP products and a 200kcal meal. For example, 1 portion of protein = approximately 180kcal and 80g of vegetables = 20kcal. There are some recipe ideas on our blog – http://shakeitup.cambridgeweightplan.com/food/weight-loss-recipes/ Don’t forget your Consultant is there to support you and they will be able to advise or answer any questions. 🙂
