In 2016, Sarah Cash’s life hit rock bottom. Fortunately, she turned it around, with the help of Cambridge Weight Plan.

“I discovered CWP through a co-worker, Carol, who was also a Cambridge Weight Plan Consultant, and with her help I lost four stone. Carol knew I was unhappy at work and did not have a work-life balance, so she regularly suggested that I could become a Cambridge Weight Plan Consultant.  Although it did appeal to me, because it offered flexible working hours, I felt I was too busy to be a part-time Consultant but I was in too much debt to leave my job to become a full-time Consultant.

“I decided to give it a go anyway and became an accredited Consultant in 2014 in the hope of earning a little extra money.

“I continued to work in my sales role and run my Cambridge Weight Plan business on the side, but each day the stress from my sales job built up. The job was highly pressured and the hours were long. I had to drop my children off at school at 7:30am and I wouldn’t pick them up till 6:00pm. They were spending more time at school or at the childminders than at home. Then in the evenings I’d constantly worry that my manager would call me to ask for my sales figures or if I was hitting my sales targets.

“On top of this, I had mounting debts to worry about and was suffering from post-natal depression and anxiety after my third child.

“I just felt constantly down with day-to-day drudgery. My husband had no idea about my debts so I felt completely alone because it was a worry I had to handle on my own. I remember crying down the phone to credit card companies, pleading with them to stop adding interest.”

“Then, in 2016, I was offered voluntary redundancy at my sales job. Although I was desperate to escape from the job, I was worried about my finances. However, I accepted the redundancy and started a new career as a full-time Consultant – which was one of the most petrifying times of my life.

“Being made redundant forced me to tell my husband about my debt, but it was the best thing I ever did. He was absolutely amazing about it and supported me. I then made a promise to myself that I would do whatever it took to make my Cambridge Weight Plan business a success.”

“In a fairly short time, I managed to grow my business considerably and in 12 months I  managed to clear off my debt and buy a beautiful new house. I’m now the main breadwinner of our household, earning triple the salary I was on at my sales job.

“My life is incomparable to what it was like a few years ago. Before I became a Cambridge Weight Plan Consultant I felt like I was holding my family back. We couldn’t go on holiday, or do nice things because of my debt and my long hours made me feel like I wasn’t there for them. I now work from home in my beautiful new office. I walk my children to school every day and take a break from 4:00pm to 6:00pm so I can collect them, cook them dinner, and help with their homework. Life couldn’t get any better.”
