Looking great at festivals is all part of the Plan... no, really! You don’t want any distractions from your enjoyment of the festival, so know what to take and what to do when you’re there. Here are our tips for surviving (and thriving!) during festival season…By Shake It Up, Cambridge Weight Plan blogThe thing about music festivals is they’re the most fun you can ever have, but at the same time, can leave you feeling self-conscious.

Getting ready for festival season means packing outfits that celebrate self-expression. You want to feel sexy but chilled too. It’ll put a dampener on your parade if you don’t feel fabulous in your festival outfits, can’t relax, or are too tired to enjoy it.

Here are our tips for surviving (and thriving!) during festival season.

Before you go

Take a holistic approach to health in the lead up to the event so you feel positive about your body before you even get there:

  • Get lots of sleep: There’s no point going if you keep flaking out early. Establish a healthy sleep pattern long before you go, so you don’t have to miss a thing.
  • Treat yourself to feel good: Feel good on the outside as well as the inside. Why not exfoliate, get a massage, spray tan, or whatever works for you.
  • Stock up: You’re less likely to abandon Plan at the first sight of festival food if you pack handy Ready to Drink shakes and CWP bars to enjoy.

At the festival

You don’t want any distractions from your enjoyment of the festival, so know what to take and what to do when you’re there:

  • Take a pop up tent: You want to get straight into the festival spirit, not spend half of the first day putting up your tent. Set up quickly and head off for some fun.
  • Drink water: By that, we mean lots of it. It’ll see you through hunger pains, heat waves, and keep your body hydrated. Try adding Water Flavourings to jazz it up a bit.
  • Be Prepared: Check out this essentials guide on what to take with you. Baby wipes are first on your list! After two days in a field trust us, these will be your new best friend!
  • Festival tickets: Don’t forget them or you won’t be getting in!
  • Go in good company: All in all, festivals are meant to be fun. Go with people who make you feel good about yourself… that’s half the battle won.

I’m heading to Glastonbury in two weeks time. Im aiming to have lost just over 2st by then, currently at -22lbs. I’ve already planned what step 2 products I’m taking; I’ll be having readymade shakes and bars for breakfast, lunch and evening with (as close as possible to) an on plan meal for dinner. Oh, and Plenty of water, walking and dancing 🙂 will be back on plan as soon as I’m home on the Monday and weigh in 3 days later…. 🙂
