How to Survive a Night Out! There is absolutely no reason why you should stop going out and having fun, with a bit of careful planning you can enjoy a night out without doing any damage to your weight-loss journey. By Shake It Up, Cambridge Weight Plan blogThere is a myth that Cambridge Weight Plan is an antisocial diet. A lot of people, when hearing you’ve started, are quick to ask how you’ll cope with meals out and will you still be fun and go out partying? There is absolutely no reason why you should stop going out and having fun, with a bit of careful planning you can enjoy a night out without doing any damage to your weight-loss journey.

  1. Ring ahead

You’ll be amazed by how accommodating restaurants can be if you just ask! If you know where you’ll be going out to eat, have a look at the menu online before you go and try and figure out what you can have while sticking to Plan – speak to your Consultant and let them know you’ve got a night out, they’ll be able to offer you support and guidance to make the right choices.

If you don’t see something suitable on the menu, give the restaurant a call and see if they’d be able to make you something – most places won’t have an issue with pulling together a simple chicken salad for example, they’ll more than likely have those ingredients in already!

  1. A bit of fizz

Are you worried about being challenged by your friends for not drinking? Stick to soda water with a slice of lemon or lime. You can easily pass it off as a vodka/gin and tonic and they will be none-the-wiser (added bonus: no hangover the next day!)

  1. Stay hydrated

If you’re going ‘out-out’ and dancing the night away, don’t forget to drink plenty of water throughout the night to keep you hydrated if you’re breaking a sweat on the dance floor!

  1. Dance, dance!

Speaking of dancing – don’t shy away from the dance floor. The more you boogie the more calories you’ll burn! So ‘get up offa that thang’ and pull some shapes, partying the night away can be a great way to exercise if you’re skipping all those empty calories from alcohol!

  1. Go straight home!

The biggest night out diet nemesis is the end of the night trip to the kebab shop. Fortunately if you’ve managed to stay strong and avoided getting intoxicated, your willpower should be able to remain strong, but if you’ve sipped on a little gin and juice and a tray of cheesy chips is sounding too good to resist, get yourself straight into a taxi, drink some water before bed, and sleep that temptation off.

The great thing about having a Cambridge Weight Plan Consultant is that they’re there to offer advice and support when you face challenging situations such as these! If you let them know when you’ve got a tricky event coming up they’ll be able to help you navigate around the hurdles and help keep you strong!

If you need a bit of CWP support, speak to a Cambridge Weight Plan Consultant today for one-to-one support to help you survive partying while dieting!
