Life gets in the way and you forget. Before you know it, you’re not drinking enough water and staying on Plan feels instantly harder.

Here are some cunning tricks to stay hydrated...

How to hit your daily water goals

It takes just four pints of water a day to avoid feeling tired and groggy.

Find out how tried and tested methods work for others and replicate this success for yourself.

We’ve four tips for keeping hydrated, one for every pint:

1. Setting a water alarm

You’ll be surprised what people set alarms for – it’s not just getting out of bed in the morning. Water reminders are a simple hack, prompting you to drink.

If you’re wondering how to set a reminder to drink, it’s as simple as using the alarm on your phone. Alternatively, use a customised app like Chime, or CWP & Me, which has a built-in water tracking feature for your individual Plan.

2. Mixing up your options

If trying to drink more water feels like an unwelcome challenge, mix it up a bit. Try drinking fruit and herbal tea, which are great as part of your Plan. There are so many different flavours to try, you’re spoilt for choice.

Or if you don’t like hot drinks, or struggle to drink 4 pints of water then try adding our Water Flavourings for a taste sensation.

3. Loving your water bottle

It’s practical to keep a water bottle with you wherever you go, but how does it affect you psychologically? Pull out a dented plastic bottle from your bag and you might not feel inspired to drink. Instead, hand pick a new one (or two). You might choose a water bottle because it’s colourful, easy to clean, or has volume markings to keep you on track.

4. Freezing water

Before you do any rigorous exercise, like a run, cycle, or gym workout, freeze your water so it stays colder for longer. You’ll feel less tired when you exercise because the cold water helps to keep your temperature down.

When water makes exercise feel less draining and more invigorating, you’ll be sure to get your full quota.
