  1. Go on a Christmas light hunt

Streets full of twinkly lights is a sure sign that Christmas is on its way. Why not go on a Christmas light hunt? Wrap up warm, leave your car at home and walk around your neighbourhood to burn off a few extra calories. Turn it into a game to make it more exciting, don’t stop until you spot: A Santa, a candy cane, a North Pole sign, a nativity and a reindeer.

  1. Watch Christmas films

The list of festive films is endless, and there is something to suit everyone. Action lovers can dive into Die Hard, Christmas classicists may favour It’s a Wonderful Life, those in the mood for a little holiday romance might be happy to discover that ‘Love Actually’ is all around, and for those in the mood for nonsense and festive cheer should turn to festive favourite Elf.

Is there anything better than settling down on a frosty afternoon, snuggled in blankets, with a Christmassy film on. Why not get extra festive with a diet friendly, low sugar, Pumpkin Spiced Latte.

  1. Go ice skating

Whether you can rival Torvill & Dean on the ice with Olympic standard spins and leaps, or you’re a little more like Bambi struggling to stay on your feet for the duration, ice skating is not only guaranteed to get you into the festive spirit but you can burn more than 250 calories in 30 minutes… Even if you spend most of your session on your bottom, pushing yourself back up again (and again, and again) will be great for toning your arms and core!

  1. Get crafty!

The tough thing with dieting over the festive period is that there are sweets, treats and cakes at every turn. Keep your hands away from the mince pies and biscuit tin by keeping them busy with some Christmas Crafting. You could make decorations, stockings, personalised gifts, your own cards… The world is your glitter covered crafting oyster.
